Coach tips

• ✦Play with capo 2 on frets. All chord shapes stay in first position — Em7, G, Dsus4, and A7sus4 are all open chords with the capo. This avoids any barre chords completely.
• ✦The entire song uses just these 4 main chord shapes repeating in the same order. Lock in the Em7-G-Dsus4-A7sus4 progression and the song becomes muscle memory.
• ✦Cadd9 appears only in the chorus. It's the same shape as a regular C but played higher on the neck — keep fingers relaxed and let it ring naturally for the 'I said maybe' hook.
